Delhi Capitals Struggle to Build Momentum

After being put into bat, Delhi Capitals never really found their rhythm. Early wickets kept the pressure on throughout the innings.
Pathum Nissanka started positively with 19 off 15 balls, while KL Rahul and Nitish Rana failed to convert their starts into a big scores. The middle order also struggled as Chennai’s bowlers kept things tight during the crucial overs.
Captain Axar Patel had a disappointing outing with the bat in this season , scoring only 2 runs. However, Tristan Stubbs played a fighting knock of 38 runs from 31 balls, trying to rebuild the innings after regular breakthroughs.
The real late boost came from Sameer Rizvi, who smashed an unbeaten 40 off just 24 balls with four massive sixes. Ashutosh Sharma also provided a quick cameo of 14 runs in 5 balls to push Delhi to a respectable total of 155/7 in 20 overs.

Chennai’s bowling attack showed excellent discipline throughout the innings.

Sanju Samson Steals the Show
Chasing 156, Chennai Super Kings lost skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad early, but that barely affected the chase because Sanju Samson produced a batting masterclass.
The wicketkeeper-batter played one of his finest IPL knocks, remaining unbeaten on 87 off just 52 balls. His innings included 7 fours and 6 towering sixes, completely taking the game away from Delhi Capitals.
Young Urvil Patel played an aggressive cameo of 17 from 9 balls before Kartik Sharma joined Samson for a match-winning partnership. Kartik remained unbeaten on 41 off 31 deliveries and supported Samson brilliantly till the finish.

Delhi Bowlers Fail to Defend
Delhi’s bowling attack struggled to contain the CSK batters on a batting-friendly Delhi surface.
