After winning the toss and batting first, Malta produced a powerful batting performance, posting an imposing 197/6 in 20 overs.

The star of the innings was Jaspal Singh, who played a sensational unbeaten knock of 68 runs from just 44 balls, smashing 3 boundaries and 6 sixes at a strike rate of 154.55. His aggressive strokeplay kept Gibraltar’s bowlers under constant pressure.

Malta captain Mehboob Ali provided the perfect support with a fluent 39 off 27 balls, including 4 fours and 3 sixes, while Muhammad Qasim injected late momentum with a blistering 37 from only 20 deliveries at a strike rate of 185.
