Pakistan have called up uncapped fast-bowler Amber Kainat for the upcoming three-match T20I series against Zimbabwe to be played in Karachi. Kainat is one of two uncapped players in the Fatima Sana-led 15-member squad for the series, apart from Saira Jabeen, who retains her spot having toured South Africa in February.
Amber's call-up comes on the back of an impressive showing for the Invincibles in the recently concluded National Women's T20 Tournament where she picked up 11 wickets in 8 outings.
The squad is largely along similar lines to the one that toured South Africa, although Sidra Amin is a notable exclusion. Amin is part of the five reserves for this series, as is pacer Diana Baig. Off-spinner Rameen Shamim is back in the squad after an injury ruled her out of the South Africa tour. Umm-e-Hani, who replaced Shamim on that tour, has been left out, as has Humna Bilal.
The first T20I is set to be played on May 12, with the remaining games scheduled for May 14 and 15. All matches will be played at the National Stadium Karachi.
