Australia have announced their squads for the ODI series @L0$ as well as the @L1$ across May and June 2026.
Mitchell Marsh, currently playing in the IPL, leads three new-look squads, with Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc and Josh Hazlewood absent from all of them. Fast bowlers Billy Stanlake and Riley Meredith make their way back into the ODI fold.
Ollie Peake, Liam Scott and Joel Davies earn their maiden Australia call-ups. While Peake is included only for Pakistan ODIs, Scott has been included for Bangladesh ODIs as well. Davies makes it only to the T20I squad against Bangladesh.
Travis Head, Cooper Connolly, Ben Dwarshuis and Xavier Bartlett, currently part of the IPL and all set to feature in the Playoffs, will replace Peake, Stanlake, Meredith and Matt Short as the ODI action shifts from Pakistan to Bangladesh, with one eye on next year's ODI World Cup.
Notably, Glenn Maxwell - who retired from ODIs - did not make the cut for the T20Is.
All three: Peake, Scott and Davies have been rewarded for their domestic performances. Scott was named the Sheffield Shield Player of the Year in 2025/26, while Davies was the Most Valuable Player at the 2025/26 Big Bash League. Peake was the Australia captain at the 2026 U19 World Cup and has also graduated to the Australia A team.
"It's always exciting to see new players get an opportunity to play international cricket and be a part of the national team," chair of selectors George Bailey said.
"The blend of experienced players coupled with new or returning players will provide a nice mix for these subcontinent tours".
