Match Commentary
00:29 Local Time, 18:59 GMT: This is a thumping win for Rajasthan Royals. The odds were against them when Hardik won the toss and decided to bowl. It was a shortened game, the pitch was under covers for a long time, there would be some help for the bowlers, but it didn't matter for Jaiswal and Sooryavanshi as they came all guns blazing. They set the tone with a quickfire stand and that propelled them to a 150 total in 11 overs. Mumbai Indians' chase never got going. They lost Rickelton and SKY in the first two overs, Rohit soon followed. The only ray of hope came when Rutherford and Naman Dhir got a few boundaries away, but they were left with too much to do and they fell 27 runs short of the target. Hang around for the post-match stuff..
Jofra Archer to Deepak Chahar, 1 run, Rajasthan Royals win by 27 runs. This is a convincing win and it makes it three in three to start the season. Short of length delivery, Chahar slices it to sweeper cover and not sure if Hetmyer spotted the ball, he hangs back instead of coming for the catch and collects it on the bounce. Happy faces in the Royals team with Parag doing a calm fist pump
Jofra Archer to Jasprit Bumrah, 1 run, 112.9ks slower short of length delivery, Bumrah pulls towards cow corner and settles with a single
Arjun: "Maximum players in this MI side have won multiple IPL titles. Maximum players in this MI side are regularly playing for India. Maybe, they have lost the thirst or desperation to win an IPL title?"
Jofra Archer to Jasprit Bumrah, FOUR, nicely done! Short of length delivery outside off, Bumrah stands tall and telescopes it over backward point. He opened the bat face and managed to clear the inner ring with ease
Jofra Archer to Deepak Chahar, 1 run, full and at the stumps, Chahar drives it to long-on
Jofra Archer to Deepak Chahar, no run, slower ball at the stumps, Chahar stays leg-side and is early into the shot, misses and the ball lobs over the stumps
Jasprit Bumrah, right handed bat, comes to the crease
Jofra Archer to Trent Boult, out Trent Boult Run Out!! Brilliant stuff from Archer. He first nails the yorker, Boult makes room and jams it down the pitch. Chahar calls for a non-existent single. Archer runs in, collects the ball and takes his time before sending in a direct-hit at the non-striker's end. Boult is nowhere close to making his ground. Trent Boult run out (Jofra Archer) 1(2)
Jofra Archer to Trent Boult, THATS OUT!! Run Out!!
Rajasthan Royals are penalised for slow over-rate. An extra fielder should be brought inside the ring. It won't matter much as Mumbai Indians need 35 runs. Archer to bowl..
Maestro Manohar: "Eventually, the powerplay turned out to be the difference."
Jofra Archer [1.0-0-10-1] is back into the attack
Sandeep Sharma to Deepak Chahar, FOUR, short of length outside off, Chahar stands tall and slices it over the point region. Bishnoi runs across from sweeper cover, dives but fails to stop the boundary

Trent Boult, right handed bat, comes to the crease
Sandeep Sharma to Shardul Thakur, out Caught by Dhruv Jurel!! Another one bites dust. Thakur is the lastest to walk back and Jadeja walks along with him, hands wrapped around him, all in a friendly manner. Length delivery, right in the slot but Thakur went so hard that he lost his shape, gets a thick top-edge and the ball goes straight up, Jurel comes in and takes it next to the stumps. Shardul Thakur c Dhruv Jurel b Sandeep Sharma 8(7) [4s-1]

Sandeep Sharma to Shardul Thakur, no run, slower leg-cutter outside off, Thakur throws the kitchen sink and does not make contact. It did seem to be inside the tramline but Kumar Dharmasena signalled a wide, only for it to be overturned
Rajasthan Royals review! It is for a wide call. The ball seemed to be inside the marker but not according to Kumar Dharmasena. The third umpire will have a look. The ball is within the guideline. The decision is reversed.

Nandre Burger to Shardul Thakur, 1 run, fullish delivery around off, Thakur drives sans timing to long-on

Nandre Burger [1.0-0-12-1] is back into the attack

Tushar Deshpande to Sherfane Rutherford, out Caught by Sandeep Sharma!! Deshpande and the Royals are celebrating. Rutherford stands his ground. But reluctantly starts his walk back to the dugout. Excellent catch by Sandeep. Tushar Deshpande to Sherfane Rutherford, SIX, smoked! Deshpande misses the yorker and Rutherford launches him into the stands. Full delivery, right in the slot outside off, Rutherford maintains a solid base and lofts it over deep extra cover. 92-meter six..

Tushar Deshpande to Naman Dhir, FOUR, that's poor execution. Third man is inside the ring and Deshpande offers a short of length delivery outside off, it was pace off but Dhir just had to clear 30 yards, which he does with ease and the ball races away
Tushar Deshpande [1.0-0-10-0] is back into the attack
Ravi Bishnoi to Sherfane Rutherford, FOUR, just over Parag. Did he get a fingertip? Bishnoi wasn't happy with the effort. Flighted and drifted across, the length was full enough to play the drive and Rutherford hits it aerially towards extra cover. Evades a leaping Parag on the edge of the circle and collects the boundary

Hardik Pandya | MI captain: We didn't execute the deliveries which we were supposed to. They played well. As a bowler group we need to take responsibility. I would not put this game on the batting. We are talking about 5 good balls and that's 5 less sixes. He is quite fascinating to see a 17 or a 16-year old
